Overview: Our latest GA in Espoo, Finland
Our 6th General Assembly in Espoo, that took place on April 10-12, brought together partners to review the project's progress and plan next steps.
The meeting began with updates on key milestones and a reminder to prepare reports and materials for an upcoming review in June. Project goals and performance measures were revisited to ensure everyone is aligned.
A major focus was on improving how data from different pilot sites is collected, shared, and used. The team discussed ways to make data access easier and more secure, aiming for a smoother, more automated system. They also explored how to better connect different tools used in the project so they work well together.
Another big topic was how users interact with ELEXIA tools. The group emphasized the importance of making the tools easy to use and useful for both technical experts and decision-makers like city planners. Ideas included building dashboards that show results clearly and allowing users to explore different scenarios.
Participants also looked at how ELEXIA can support broader energy goals across Europe. This included talking about regulations, energy flexibility, and how the project’s findings can influence policy.
The final sessions focused on outreach and collaboration. Plans were made to increase visibility at upcoming events, create new communication materials, and work closely with other energy projects in the EU. A strong emphasis was placed on showing real-world impact through examples, storytelling, and even virtual reality.
Overall, the assembly helped align the team, identify key priorities, and build momentum for the next phase of the project.
